ok Music on my iPhone & iPad is search-able but only that. How can I get them into a shuffle?

ok music on my iPhone & iPad is search-able but only that...

ok so here is the situation ... I have all my music on my MacBook and I can see every album and song I have there when I am in iTunes .... however when I transferred all the music onto my iPhone 6s Plus and my 12.7 iPad Pro there are albums and songs that I cannot see or find without expressly doing a search for them ... and they never play when I am shuffling through all my music ... why is this happening and how can I fix it ...

Whatever music player you're using, create a playlist and then select the shuffle option therein.
