"Touch ID requires your passcode after 48 hours" after less than 10

When I charge my iPhone 6 with iOS9 overnight, I get this when I wake it in the morning:



The thing is, it's only been not-used for 8 or 9 hours. If it's not charging overnight, I do not get this. This started happening after updating to 9.something, I don't recall which release specifically, but it never happened with iOS 8.anything.

I had this happen only one time after I upgraded to ios 9.0.

However since being on 9.0.2 I have not had it happen again. Are you still on 9 or have you moved to 9.0.2?

I'm getting this too. It's annoying this comes up even after just using my phone a few hours before.

I finally seen it this morning, I had to sign in with my Apple ID

It has not happened on my iPhone yet, but it happens often on both my wife's and my iPad Air 2

Try to restore your device as new and see how it goes. Be sure to keep a backup though.

Just FYI a restore did not work on My iPad. I had to restore about a week ago due to a rotation issue, and it still does the same thing. I see it mostly in the AM after my iPad comes off the charger.

Try to restore your device as new and see how it goes. Be sure to keep a backup though.

I haven't seen this. I sure as heck don't want to restore as new. I just did that and it took me 2 days to get everything squared away.

This happens to me from time to time. Both on my iPhone and iPad. Sometimes after one night of charging sometimes after a couple of days.

It is apparently intermittent, I charged overnight last night and it did not happen today.
