Hi all,

I finally bit the bullet and decided to update to 8.3 yesterday via iTunes (I always update via iTunes). Anyway, after I update the OS, I always do a back-up in case something happens. Well I received the error that says cannot back-up this iPhone because an error occurred - no error number of more specific details.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I uninstalled iTunes and all its components, rebooted the phone and computer and still get the error. I also tried to restore from the latest back-up and I get an error there as well (cannot restore the iPhone as an error occurred).

I'm at a loss...

If you successfully created a backup prior to updating then go ahead and put your device is DFU mode and restore it via iTunes. This will be a clean install of iOS 8.3. Afterwards, restore the backup you made.

Okay dumb question, what's DFU mode? I'm intrigued and would love to try this - I'm willing to try anything before having to set-up as new.
