iCloud Drive with OS X 10 and iOS 8

Im trying to figure out how to use iCloud Drive. I just updated to OS X 10. I see iCloud Drive in finder. I drag in drop a file into it but it i can;t find it anywhere on my phone... Am i missing something? Is anyone using iCloud drive?

The app you need is called iCloud drive explore and it's in the iOS App Store. Hope this was helpful.

Does that mean that iCloud Drive still isn't a grown-up cloud service like Dropbox?

The name of the app referenced above is Cloud Drive Explorer.
I haven't used it.

I am under the impression that on iOS devices, you must use an app and choose to open a file from iCloud drive. It's not like dropbox or OneDrive where you can open an app and see the files and folders.

Drop box just upped me to 1 TB.

fire whoever is in charge and start over for ios9
