Bug in Calendar app? I can't clear inbox message

I got a event invite from my wife for event next Friday. The event shows correctly in calendar but also show Inbox (1) in lower right corner with message explaining the new event.

Normally these inbox messages clears when you click the ok "button" but now nothing happens:

I have no idea how to clear the list when the ok button doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

As soon as you accepted the invitation, it should have cleared the inbox. Reboot your device to see if it clears.

I had the same issue with one accepted appointment. It was there for days and then suddenly disappeared. I didn't reboot or anything. Not sure what happened.

I have tried rebooting twice no luck.
Hope they disappear by themselves by tomorrow.

But then again that doesn't matter because new ones just pops up next time I get invited to an event

I was gonna say just that. Mine disappeared after awhile and then i got two new ones there now that are stuck. As I've said in multiple threads, I hate iOS 8!

I have the same problem that is really annoying. Did you find a fix?

What worked for me was to swipe down from the top on the main screen to see Notifications. From there I could accept/decline the invites and that removed them from the inbox. All further invites no longer had the issue. This was IOS 9.2

Easy solution is to delete the invite from your mail if it's still there after accepting/declining the invite.
