Uh oh. Bug in IOS8?

I tried to email photos to a friend, from my iPad. And when I click "share", the options used to include email but not anymore. How do I fix that?

Mine is fine. When you access the Share Sheet, slide across to the right and select More. Make sure Email is turned on and then move it to the position in the list you want it.

Now it only allows me to send 5 pics at a time, if I select a 6th one the email icon disappears. That's a problem because in my line of work, I often send pics by the dozen.

That's a long standing feature of iOS not new with iOS 8. So in the Photos app if you select more than 5 photos, you can't select to email them. However you can select 'Copy' with more than 5 photos selected, and then go to mail and start s new emIl and paste them in.
