Is the "tap area around URL bar to take to top of page" feature still in ios 8?

One thing I dislike about the browser in ios 7 is that tapping the area around the URL bar takes you to the top of the page. I personally find it very easy to do this accidentally. And it is beyond irritating, especially when I am reading long comment threads like in Reddit.

Does anyone have any idea of this feature is still in ios 8, and whether we can remove it or not?

Thanks!

Yes, it is still present in iOS 8, and no, you cannot change it - at least to my knowledge.

I love that feature as well. Was using a friends GS3 yesterday and got mad because I couldn't. She also looks at me like I was crazy.

It would be nice if there were a way to turn that off.

For me I like it. I find that some apps that have browers in them that don't support it, drive me nuts.

But it would great to be able to disable it.
