Rumored: Public transit directions in iOS 8!

Apple's current Maps offering is pretty good and getting better. It seems as though public transit may be making its way into the app. Who'll be able to use this as their only mapping application if public transit makes its way into the stock Maps app?

I know that would allow me to completely use the stock Maps as I use public transit quite a deal throughout the week.

That would be nice, hopefully the directions will be accurate as there were some problems when Apple Maps first came out. i still think that they should have kept Google Maps since Google has more data under its belt.
