Has Anyone Held Back From Updating To At Least iOS 7 Yet And Why?

Not a fan of iOS 7 on my iphone 5. Liked it at first, now would love to roll back to iOS 6. Not a fan of the new web search, the colors of the icons, email program or web browsing.

Syncing music has also been terrible since the update, the battery drains faster and random things happen like the music coming on, screen dimming and icons shaking like I'm trying to move them.

Been using my Lumia more as a result. Hopefully a patch will be released soon to clean this up.

I have not updated because if I do I will lose my jailbreak. I was so tempted when iOS7 dropped and it was all the buzz in the forums. I think I will update as soon as a new jailbreak is available.

I did for the longest time. I have it on my iPhone only because i got stuck at the restore screen and couldn't fix it. I could downgrade it back to 6.1.3 but I don't use my iPhone anymore so it doesn't matter to me. I can't stand the colourful look that iOS 7 has, I find it is unbelievable ugly and too flat. The blur annoys me and Siri for some reason doesn't work as well as it use to.

Its her new voice which is the worst and I hate it

I am quite shocked on how many people that have eligible phone to update to the minimum of iOS 7 when it first came out and now Apple signing iOS 7.0.3. Many posts I have read indicate many different reasons why many have not bothered to update including one very well known Blog writer who has an iPhone 5 with 6.0 still on it saying " There is no need for me to update" so I started this thread to see if the is totally out of the ordinary or are there many that have not updated yet to at least iOS 7?

Go ahead and tell us YES if it is applies and why? We promise not to tell anyone or use your name ok? LOL :)

When September 18th rolled around, I was using an iPhone 3GS and an iPad 2, both on iOS 6.1.2, both jail broken. Now, the 3GS wasn't even eligible for iOS 7, it's actually 2009 hardware, but it ran with me like a champ. Upgraded (finally!) to the 5s. Currently on iOS 7.0.3, BUT my iPad 2 is still on 6.1.2. I've heard that, due to 2011 hardware, iOS 7 is not very good on the iPad 2. It is eligible for the iOS update, but I'm not willing to give up my jailbreak.
So, I have an iPhone with iOS 7, and an iPad with iOS 6, jailbroken, both used daily. It can be disorienting sometimes, but nothing too bad.
So there is your answer. Yes, I've held back from iOS 7, due to jailbreak and (somewhat) age of hardware.

Well, I have not upgraded to iOS7 yet; and the reason is probably because back when I was a systems specialist, my employer at the time drilled into my head that they do not upgrade any devices without first going through in-house testing to verify compatibility and that there are no glaring problems. And given the issues that have been happening with the 7.x release, I'm happy to say that staying on 6.x hasn't affected me negatively in the slightest. When 7.1 releases, I'll most likely upgrade. Until then, iOS7 has no features that make the upgrade imperative.
