Default Blue dot next to app

Anyone knows what that is ? Beside some apps there is a little blue dot. Blue dot next to app-imageuploadedbyimore-forums1380129917.112217.jpg

All my apps are up to date and are closed, not running in the background.

It was updated in the background... and you haven't opened it yet.

Thought it means that the app is being updated automatically .

I believe that means you haven't opened the app after updating it. It will go away once you open it.

Think of it as a "flashing LED indicator" for a new/updated app.

But it doesn't flash... it's "always on".... until you open the app...

The blue dot is there when an app is updated, regardless of whether it was done automatically or manually.

Thanks everyone, It is indeed to notify you that this app was updated. Once you open it, it disappears.

This happens when you install a new app or when a app was updated in the background. Basically, it's like that blue ribbon that was on new apps back in iOS 6.

Hi, I had the same problem trying to open you tube with a blue dot. I could not open the App at all so I powered the ipad off completely! switched it back on agin and then I could open the you tube App. Hope this helps.

Some tweaks do disable the badge. Do you have a list of what you've installed?
