This update contains bug fixes and security updates, including:
Improves iBeacon connectivity and stability
Fixes a bug with data transfer for some 3rd party accessories, including bar code scanners
Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments

I doubt it would patch the hack that allowed the latest jailbreak. Pangu would probably make a tweak here and there and update the Pangu tool.

Thank you. I just finished updating my MacBook and now I'm waiting for the iPhone 5 to complete the OTA update and reboot.

Sort of new to the iPad/IPhone thing, have an iPad3 and iPhone 3GS. Just wondering when it says 'bug fixes' in 7.1.2 is there a list of those anywhere?

Above it's stated what it fixes.Apple doesn't have a separate release note

Please it's a 23mb file... Most those fixes would file into that file size.

Anyone else stuck at apple logo about 45% after 1 hr?

iPad 3 upgrading from 7.1.1 (only took like minute to download update. but has been hung on the apple screen forever)

UPDATE: after hr i did what another poster did and hard reset then when it booted it "says" the update is applied.

I updated my 5S, Apple TV 3, and a 4S from 7.1.1 to 7.1.2 with no issues. The 4S was really slow at the verifying update part though.

Okay. If at some point you think you've waited longer than what's reasonable under the circumstances, you can reboot your device, but you should be taken back to where you left off. The process may or may not move along, depending on where you are in the queue.
