Why is my email notifications getting switched without me doing anything?

For some reason, my email notifications keep getting switched without me doing anything. I am running ios 6. Any suggestions what I can do?

Are you talking about the alert sound or fetch to push?

The push notifications (sounds, alerts etc.)
I'm using an iPod 4
I'm using a gmail account.

Sorry Yossi for asking so many questions but does this happen to any other notifications

If it's defaulting to a gmail alert sound we need to verify this with someone else using gmail and I'm wondering why your still running iOS 6 which shouldn't be a factor

Ex. I have it set to see my emails in the notification center, and later I see I got an email but I don't see it in the notification center

It doesn't happen by other apps
(And I'm running iOS 6 because I have an iPod 4 [so I can't update])

My bad didn't realize that

Hopefully someone with more knowledge we be by to clear this up

I will get a Mod to move this thread to the iPod section for more exposure

Try turning both "show in notification center" and "show in lock screen" on. Then do a hard reset.

Hold the power button and home button until the screen goes black then the apple appears. That's a hard reset
