Default Come on Apple, let me gift an app from my phone.

I'm new to the iOS 6 world as I didn't update till the jailbreak came out. Well I was surprised to learn last night that I can no longer gift apps from my phone and have to use iTunes. Maybe I just missed this change when iOS 6 was reviewed. That seems like a step back for the consumer and the developer. Hopefully they will allow this in the near future.

It may depend on the app... I just brought up Camera+ in the AppStore on my phone, and tapped the 'Share' button in the upper right corner of the screen... and one of the options on the next screen was "Gift"...

Oh I see now. My stupidity is still running strong in 2013.

Seems like they can't be free, but that's the only thing I've run across. If your Share button isn't working, kill the App Store in the switcher and reopen it.

I have found that the share button can be flaky...

Ain't that the truth. I have to completely exit out the App Store app and then restart it 'on occasions' when using the Share button.

Agreed. I haven't had any troubles. The only thing is it isn't instant. It seems to take a couple of hours for the recipient to get their email with the redemption code.
