    Default Linking of contacts

    Recently, I linked all of my duplicate contacts. I had numerous contact with 2, 3, and sometimes 4 duplicates. I linked them all, and there were alot...took me forever. Then a week or so later I noticed that my contacts were not linked anymore and I am having to re link all of them. Has anyone else had this issue??

    You'd be better off using an app that finds and deletes dupes.

    I just went through today and did the same, with some duplicate Facebook contacts. I haven't seen anything go haywire yet...but I'll check in a week and if I see funky behavior, I'll report it here.

    Some days ago appAdvice reviewed and recommended one called "Smart Merge Duplicate Contacts" you can see it on their website it's $0.99. Hope it helps

    I used Cleanup Duplicate Contacts (and two of their other apps for various cleanups).

    Rube8514, if you happen to sync ALL your contacts from gmail to your phone, gmail has a feature to remove duplicates.
