People that are authorized to download from Apple know where they can get that info, which I believe is subject to the developer non disclosure agreements... that said, Mac Rumors is reporting,

Ahh OK. So some under the hood changes to passbook, Siri and the way developers can integrate maps. All beneficial but also all refinements to existing services and features.

I wonder if anything brand new will find its way into iOS 6.1?

.xx releases are maintenance releases, plain and simple.

it's not a 6.0.xxx release it is a 6.1 release

No matter what the number is anything .xxx is a incremental release. it could be .1, .5, .10 Which is why I stated it's not going to be anything dramatic.

No this isn't correct. x.x.1 and ect are maintenance releases. X.1 are not maintanence releases. They will add a couple new features to the OS.

Right so OS X 10.5 was clearly an increment to 10.4. 10.7 was also an increment to 10.6. Clearly nothing dramatic was introduced.

yes and no....

1. i did get caught up with other site comments with beta version numbers being thrown around. hence my screwed up numbering

2. blog comments people were asking if this going to be a full OS revamp which it will not be.

Siri can now purchase movie tickets via Fandango (USA only)

For those who have this how does battery life seem to be? My phone seems to be draining battery faster than normal lately and I haven't installed any new apps that could be causing it

same here battery life sucks. I was considering going back to beta 2 but I will just stick it out till beta 4 and hope they fix things.

Battery life used to be alright, but now it drains faster. Hopefully apple will start putting larger batteries in rather than worrying about being so thin

I was getting a day and a half with regular usage on beta 2 so that was great battery life. I think they are trying to tweak the OS to be as efficient as possible with the battery to get more life out of it. I would love if they put in more battery too but somehow I don't think it's high on their list because of the added weight.

day and a half, why wouldn't you just put the phone on charge while you
sleep, anyway?

iOS 6 beta 2 off charger at 6AM, going to bed at 10PM it was at 60%. I didn't need to charge it until 10AM-noon the next day when it was at 47%
iOS 6 beta 3 off charger at 6AM, by 11AM it's at 66% that is diffinately a huge difference.

Why wouldn't I put it on a charger? simply because I don't have to, at 60ish % there is no need to put it on the charger.

i ALWAYS charge at night while asleep. granted i do have a car charger in my work vehicle and a cable in my office but still..

i never know what my next day has in plan for me and have been glad i did have a charged up phone for the day when needed
