I don't know where I heard this but I was under the impression that you would not need to input your password every time you downloaded a new app. Is there something I'm missing or is this not the case. FYI 3GS running iOS 6. Thanks.

I've noticed that it didn't require my password when I d/l'ed updates to existing apps. But any new purchases - even free ones, still, asked for it.

Have you got restrictions set? If so you can set the timeout for the AppStore and iTunes.

Go to Settings - Restrictions then go down to Allowed content.

Thanks everyone I guess what I seen was for updating apps. If I disable my restrictions will it still require a password for new apps?
