Hay,

I have a @me.com address can I change it to the new @icloud.com address?

Would I have to signup again, if so won't I lose my contacts etc?
Or is this something that will automatically swap over in the future?

It will happen automatically when you update iCloud on iOS 6.0. (You'll have both)

Thanks for the reply, I am running IOS 6, but nothing obvious stands out.

Do I have to create a new account?
I do see when I log in to icloud.com that any alias I create is @icloud.com, do I need to create an alias?
