I'm having the same problem on an iPhone 4 VZW. Whenever I try to connect to my home router it keeps bringing me to apple.com and a page that doesn't exist.
From Storm2 to VZW iPhone

Try going to Setting>> General>> Reset>> Reset Network Settings -- then you'll have set-up and reconnect to your previously set-up wifi network(s).

I just started having that same issue. I'm on Verizon with a 4S and it worked fine since I downloaded the new OS and now hours later having problems and will not connect.

It's currently working on my updated iPad but my 4S keeps bringing up the apple page...

Problem seems to involve connecting to secure/protected wifi hotspots. Open hotspots seem to be ok.

Aside from resetting network settings, one could try putting their phone into airplane mode for 30 seconds, then turn it back off and see what happens... also - power off the phone and reboot.

Why would connecting to WiFi even attempt to open a web page? Something is really messed up.

Getting the same thing on a 4 and 4s for Verizon.

It's checking to see if the wifi has an internet connection or if it is a captive portal you need to log in to. If the wifi requires a log in, it shows the page it redirects you to even if you aren't in a web browser. Before they added this, you'd be trying to figure out why your app isn't working until you tried safari and got the login page there.
Looks like the server it connects to to test the connection is broken. - 09-19-2012, 06:18 PM #18

Same here
iPad and iPhone are both doing it. I have a feeling that this is going to turn into a widespread problem before this is over

I have an AT&T 4s with the same problem, After upgrading, whenever I attempt to connect to a wifi network I am prompted to "Login" to page that does not exist on apple's website. I've done the network settings reset and airplane mode and still am having the same problem.
