pretty damn good so far!

Haven't had a full day's usage yet, but it does seem at least as good as 5.1.1... maybe a bit better...

Seems pretty good. Could be better though. I guess I need to wait fir iPhone 5 for better battery life.

I am actually going to iOS 6 GM in hope of fixing my battery drainage on my iTouch 4G. But since I had jailbreak tweaks, that also led to problems. Hopefully with my new white iTouch 4G, that will help with the battery issues also! I will give reports!

Notes from me -
I hope to be getting an iPod touch 5G very soon. It all depends on what I do with my old 4th Generation. If I trade it in, I will get it a lot sooner. If I keep it, it will be longer before getting the 5th Generation. Hmm....
Thanks,

Well, I love iOS 6, but I don't think I will be updating my iPod touch 4G to the OS. One - There isn't much features enabled for a stock 6.0 firmware for this Generation. Two - The iPod touch 4G is now considered "outdated" with the 5G. Three - I want my Jailbreak. So I am going to stick with iOS 5.1.1 on this device, but will gladly use iOS 6 on the iPod touch 5G!

I did a fresh restore with no backup (except game saves) and drained the battery all the way. I've never had my phone last this long, but we'll see how it holds up over the coming weeks.

Right now on my 4S
20% battery
Usage 5 hours 11 minutes
Standby 10 hours 8 minutes - 09-16-2012, 05:22 PM #14
It's more than adequate. It's on par with or slightly ahead of 5.1.1.

Mine is very good. I was typically getting 6 hours usage on 5.1 and being at <10%. Since 6.0 was installed, I've averaged 7.5 hours of usage to hit <10%. Much happier with it.

Horrible Battery Life
I am having horrible battery life. I loaded GM from beta 4 and charged my iphone 4 to 100% and i left my house today at about 5:00PM. At 9:30PM I checked my iphone and it said 10% left and I didnt even use it while i was gone exept to check the time 3 times. No calls, only two texts received, and a voicemail received. I dont think that should make my iphone drain 90% in about 5 hours. It said that I used my iphone for 5 hours and I really didn't.
