assuming the next build will be the GM then i would not expect it anytime soon?

I expect one more beta and that's it. The next release after that is GM.

I agree with ghost, beta 4 is very polished with not too much more to fix. I think we get one more beta and then the GM In a couple weeks.

works great with my setup but it could be different for you. it's beta

It's really hard to say if we see a beta 5. Last year it was 5 weeks between beta 7 and GM. It would also be 5 weeks between beta 4 and GM. I still hope we see one last beta. I give it a 50/50 chance of it happening.

If you aren't running a beta now, no need to join in this late. If you are running an earlier beta (which would surprise me that it hasn't expired yet), update it. As far as apps, I can't answer that since we don't know what you run. Things like Facebook and twitter run fine, but I have some apps that crash.

If you are worried about it being stable, don't consider it. It is a beta.

As a tester of iOS a person knows ahead of time that there "might" be a problem such as something not working correctly, ect.

That's what I expect. Between now and September 12th, there's really only room for beta five. I'd say GM
is released the day of the hardware announcement just like last year. No need for many betas this time
around like last year since iOS 5 had plenty more "under the hood" improvements. I'll be happy once the
GM is out since that permits developers to submit updates to their apps for iOS 6.

Beta 5 will prolly be out the 27th. The last beta took 3 weeks instead the of the regular every " 2 weeks" Lets just see and wait. I like B4 it's been very stable.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the GM came out a week or two last year AHEAD of the HW announcement, which was followed by the final public release.

So let's assume that Apple is going to announce the next iPhone...on September 12th as rumored.
3 weeks from the next beta/GM should be August 27th. That gives us about 2.5 weeks until HW announcement.

I could be wrong though.

There you go. I guess we'll see how it plays out this year. I think we'll get a GM build next. I don't see a need for a 5th beta...but I'm not Apple. I haven't had too many (if any) app crashes, no resprings and only a few things aren't working (like the app store link in passbook, the transit routing app selection in maps...) and some search results have not populated in Apple Maps. I have a feeling the GM will be the next build we see.
