Private notifications?

Wondering if there is a way to make notifications private on the lock screen? I like the idea of seeing what's happening but don't want all my personal texts out there.

Any thoughts?

You can turn off mail preview and text preview. Settings, notifications. Go to messages and turn off show preview. Same for mail.

In Settings > Notifications, turn off notifications on the lock screen if you don't want any. If you just want a notification that there is email. In email settings, you can select how many lines of the email show in the notification.
