How to get rid of update badge/message

I don't want to upgrade to 5.0.1. How do I get rid of the "update available" on my phone??? I see no way to turn it off

Yeah, you're stuck until we get a jailbreak for the 4S.
What I did is create a system icon shortcut using Icon Project. I stuck a bunch of ones like brightness and bluetooth in a folder with it and put it in my dock where the original Settings icon was. I put the old Settings icon on page I don't look at often. Sadly, you can't get rid of it completely.
