FYI there's a whole forum dedicated to the iOS 5 ....http://forums.tipb.com/ios-5-forum/
This post was not so much to mention that iOS was released but rather where to find it on your phone...again for those who DID NOT KNOW. You two (ghostface147 and kch50428) are obvious the all mighty know it alls and have nothing better to do then bash other trying to help. Sit down!
If someone DID NOT KNOW - it would pretty much have to be not knowing by choice, because information & direction is/was readily available if one wanted to look for it before popping off a new thread.... not feelin' your ire. And your admonition to "Sit down!" comes with an implied "Shut up"... methinks that the physician should heal them-self.
I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to ask. You can use iTunes to download the update. Plug in your device to sync, and if the update is not presented just click "Check for Update." Are you wanting to have iTunes download the update separately without a device connected? If so, I agree that would be nice. You could search for a "bootleg" copy of the update on the web, I suppose. I did that to get the 5.0 GM a week before it dropped. HTH.it's so irritating that I have to use wi-fi or plug into iTunes to get the update. I have DSL at home, that's going to take a good hour and a half just to download the update and then I have to install it. I don't know anywhere I can get wi-fi. Why can't I just get that 55MB update using iTunes? Anyone else annoyed by this?
