Should this be a "delta" update? I'm not seeing anything in software update, although maybe it takes a bit to show up...

iTunes is reporting a file size of 798.3MB... probably not a delta... Don't know about OTA... that could be delta

I would hope it'll be available OTA by EOD today. What a waste of bandwidth

I guess I'm confused... I thought we were done with these massive downloads and complete restore of iOS with every update... especially these .1 updates? Oh well, we shall see...

Downloading OTA/wifi on iPad - that is not showing a file size, but a download time of only 5 minutes total... so maybe OTA may be delta??

    Default 3gs/5.0...Issues still exist?

3gs Issues still exist? I did not update my 3gs to 5.0 because it seemed there were issues. How are things now. I am interested in updating.

I got the OTA in the US about 15-20 minutes ago. No problem.

And for those wondering, I recall Apple saying that OTA updates would be delta, but iTunes update would be full version.

Final build is 5.0.1, build 9A405. Does that help?

Update: I just checked the developer site... 5.0.1.b2 was build 9A404, so it does appear that something has changed... no clue what.

Total update time on my iPad1 was less that 15 minutes OTA/wifi.

(also had some streaming audio & my iTunes/iPhone update going on at the same time...)

OTA would have to be delta. I downloaded and installed and it happened in much less time than a full update.

OTA is a patch, through iTunes is a backup, install, and restore from backup.

Updating via iTunes will be a full download of the iOS... at least it was for my iPhone vs Over The Air for my iPad.
