I have my hotmail account set up on my iPhone 4s and iPad 2 through Microsoft Exchange and both are set to push. I'm using both my iPhone and iPad on the same wifi network and I'm receiving email notifications instantaneously on my iPhone but they do not appear on my iPad. Any thoughts?

I had the same issue and found this website, that spells exactly what you need to do, and I did all their suggestions and it actually solved my problem that I had like yours. I would suggest you should try it.
    Good luck
