I just upgraded my iPOD touch to the new ios 5. I don't see the battery % indicator.
I am getting the 4S later today, so I have been prepping myself with the touch.
Hope there is an answer for this..

That's interesting. Neither my wife's 3gen iPod Touch, nor my 4gen iPod Touch have the toggle for battery percentage. And both are running iOS 5.

Did you restore from a backup when you set up iOS 5? If so, Reset your network settings and see if it is there after that. I haven't updated my daughter's iPod Touch 4 yet, so I don't know if this would help or not. I know the battery percentage was one of the features for the iPod Touch in iOS 5 so it should be available after the update.
