I believe whatever you set there will be used as your default info for auto-filling forms... just a guess though...

My Info isn't my info.
How can I change My Info under settings on my iPhone? It's not my name, it's my brothers name for some reason and he has never even touched my phone or has anything to do with my account. Does anyone have any advice on how to change this?
Thanks! - 10-19-2011, 08:55 PM #7
In the settings.
This info is also used by Siri in the 4S.

iPhone 4 under settings and my contact info
I just realized under my settings mail, contacts, calendar... Under my contact was infact not my contact info, but another person on my contact list. What has this been doing? Has any of my info or this persons info been going to them if other places? This is quite concerning. :/

On my: settings/mail,calendar,contacts/my info, it states "None" (in gray). When I click this option, it brings up my contacts folder - I'm guessing to choose a contact to display under "my info". I don't have myself as a contact in my own contact book . . . . and don't see a reason why I would need to.
This feature isn't crystal clear to me either . .

It auto-fills your information in forms, tells Siri your name and any relationships you have, and works with Find my iPhone to list your home, work, etc. It doesn't send information to anyone else, or overwrite things on your computer. It just tells your phone who owns it.

My Info resolution
I too had this problem and just figured it out. If you have not added yourself as a contact in your contacts do so now. Once you've done that when you click on my info find your name in the contacts and select it. It will update your information *sigh of relief* have a good day folks!

Re: "My Info" under settings/contacts?
Except now the autofill no longer works after upgrading to IOS6. A link in the 6th comment explains why, here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4388059?start=0&tstart=0
Anyone here have ideas? Also not sure why the URL link I posted isn't clickable.Last edited by Cartoonipad; 01-02-2013 at 07:50 PM. Reason: Link not working
