Iphone Had to Retore to Download the new iOS5 software correct?

did everyone go through a restore when downloading the new software?

I posted in another thread about the 3194 error message that I kept receiving while trying to download the new OS that the easiest way to download the new OS was to do a restore first. Should work for you

well when you do a restore what does that do to your phone as far as information and things you had on your phone that you want back. when you finally get all your info back do you have to re enter passwords, email addresses ect? or does it automatically remember?

icloud vs mobile me?

what is the difference? my icloud account is all set up and running but when i downloaded the new ios5 software it told me my mobile me account was not verified yet should i be worried?

Do you use new banners or old style/ios4?

i see that you can switch back to the old view of the iphones with the close and reply option. do all of you guys use the new banners/notification styles or the old style with the ios4 way?
