Phone Notification

In iOS5 I've changed the notification for Phone to a banner. Yet when I get a call the notification is no different than before the update. That is to say the phone notification takes up the entire screen.

Am I doing this wrong?

phone calls will behave just like before. there is however a pretty cool jailbreak tweak that does banners when a call is being received. it's called CallBar

Just curious - in Settings, Notifications it gives the option to put the Phone in the Notification Center and then choose Alert Style: None, Banner, Alerts.

Why do we have that option if it doesn't work?

that is for missed calls and voicemail. which while in LockScreen mode will allow you to slide to the right to instantly call back or check VM. in the pulldown menu you can tap for the same results

it worked for me on all beta versions.
i receive my iphone 4S next week and will have to check that out
