No. It's the usual vibrate on or off for all or you can turn off/change individual notification sounds.

can't you just choose none as your sound for text and then have a sound for your ringer? This would acheive the same result wouldn't it? I have the beta on my iPad so I wouldn't know.

Oh ok doubt your ever going to get that. The vibrate is either on or off you can't have it on sometimes and off other times.

OP, if you are referring to the possibility of having your phone vibrate only for SMS while all other tones working as usual then forget it.. i would personally wash Steve Jobs vehicles for a year of this were ever implemented

why do i get a feeling the OP will never come back to maintain his/her thread..

Well, didn't know that they haven't figured out the basis of the iPhone 5. yes it will be in the hands of the phone user to decide. But can you elaborate more in which context you asked the question ??
