iPhone 6 won't allow touch ID

The iPhone 6 I have won't allow Touch ID. I will try to set it up and when I get to the part to add my fingerprint it won't allow me to add it- I get a failure message.

That's weird. Never seen that issue before. Is this a brand new iPhone 6? I'm thinking maybe do a reset?

I wonder if gently wiping off the touch pad? Maybe there's some sort of residue that's preventing it from accurately reading your fingers?

Maybe visit the Genius Bar to have Apple look at it?

Have you had the phone repaired or screen replaced by any non-Apple shops?

Try having your fingers and Touch ID as clean and dry as possible.

As others have said, try wiping the Touch ID sensor, failing that I would book it in to Apple

Also make sure your hand is not greasy.
