Widgets not always working

Anyone notice their widgets don't always work? Like I use the contact favorites widget and sometimes I'll hit a contact and nothing happens. Or my sports widgets are just blank instead of showing scores. Have to hard reset to get them to work again. Anyone else see this?

Hi!
Yes, it used to happen in the initial release of iOS 10.
I am currently running on iOS 10.2 beta 2 and I don't see any problems now.
Update your iOS and you'll be good to go!

Well, not everybody wants to update to the beta just to get widgets to work. However, that hopefully means whatever bug is causing the issue will be resolved in the official release.

For the contact favorite widget. It works for me so is the weather, places, calendar, up next

All my widgets work great on 6s Plus, iOS 10.1.1. No issues. OP, which contact favorites app did you refer to?

You say they don't work? Mine do. Have you tried a hard reset?

7 Reset
Hold the power/wake button and the volume down button at the same time until the Apple logo appears. Then release.

All other:
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.

Well yes. That's how I get it to work again. But it doesn't last. It stops working again.

Where are you accessing the widget? Are you swiping right on the screen to the widgets?

Have you tried disabling contacts in the widgets. The go to the contacts app and tap it to show the favorites. Then tap "add widget". Then go to the widgets and try it.
