I hate those new "play things" on iMessages, but I just don't use them. That's it.
The only issue I have with iOS10 it's it doesn't feel right on a 4'7 screen and seeing the post above it seems to be a problem on 5'5 screen too.

Well, I just checked for updates for any of my apps that are on my 6s Plus, and I just got my first (of soon to be many) updating for iOS 10 - PCalc (version 3.6). It also has added support for watchOS 3. Looking forward to attempting to (depending on how busy Apple's servers are) updating to iOS 10 tomorrow as I haven't been on any of the betas for it.

I'm actually pretty much not going to upgrade to iOS 10 on my 6S Plus anytime soon, until an option/slider is offered to turn off all the "play things" in Messages.

Otherwise, I'd have to turn off iMessages, which I'm not willing to do.

Until then, iOS 9 (and perhaps OS X El Capitan) it is.

that`s not compulsory it`s upto you to use those things. When you long press via 3d touch then only those features would come to life

Yeah, I had a feeling that would be the case, lol ;-)
Hopefully iOS 11 will be a refinement of 10, instead of a paradigm shift. Although I'm definitely looking forward to the smoothness/responsiveness of iOS 10 that I keep seeing mentioned about.

Is there a point upgrading from the iOS 10 GM? It should be the same as what is coming out tomorrow, correct?

I never bother.. but each their own. If you stay on the beta, you will still get the beta updates prior to 10.1. However that being said, my 7 is coming on Friday, so I will not have a choice, since my 6 with the 10.0.1 GM will be wiped for my wife to use. But in general with a GM I leave it. Any changes from the GM to the Open Live Public is so minor, if any.

Saying iOS 10 will be jailbroken in a "week or two" is just a wild assumption.

I kept saying in 6th grade I will get taller next year.. and in 7th and in 8th.. was a wild assumption too... I was dead wrong. All 5' 7" of me was wrong, dead wrong :) You're right.. we can never assume.

I think you're missing the point.

It's not about what I use. It's about what I'm subjected to, and have no control over.

It's about what other people use when they send messages to you. There is no way to stop their full screen effects, "bam," "wow," "kaplow," etc. from triggering on your device - period. There is no toggle.

Reminds me of the old Batman Series that used to play on television. UGH!

The only way to avoid it, is to not upgrade, since this updated messages app comes with the full FW update. Therefore, I will be staying on iOS 9. I don't consider 10 usable until they provide an option to block the effects and other junk they pushed into the Messages app on my end.

I'm almost positive that upgrading means having to deal with months of people "experimenting" with full screen effects, "emoji novels," and "hidden pictures" just because it's new. Not to mention all the space wasted in conversation threads to stickers, etc.

Either you turn iMessage off, or you don't upgrade. If I'm going to turn it off, why do I even have an iPhone to begin with? Going back to SMS/MMS is starting to look a lot more "attractive," these days, now that iMessage is Apple's literal equivalent to Facebook Messenger (which I wholly dropped after they started adding all this stuff and conversations became inundated with it).

I have tried every iOS 10 beta since their release but always downgraded to iOS 9. I love iOS 10 (apart from messages), but keep getting quicker battery drain when my 6 is in use. Standby time is fine. I gave it a week, tweaked location settings but the drain was noticeable. Back on iOS 9, no problems. Probably will hold off until 10.1 (if I can wait that long!). 😂
