Default Problem with Touch Recognition in Notifications in Notification Center

I have had an issue on every Beta that I can remember. When notifications are in Notification Center, they have a serious issue with touch recognition. It can take numerous attempts to get them to respond to touch. I can 3D touch them, and that will work, but they still won't respond to touch and refuse to open the app. They remain completely useless. You can press and press and press and they won't open the app. It can sometimes take upwards of 10 presses before they respond. Anyone else see this? It's driving me insane.

It's intermittent too. It isn't all the time so I can't explain it. It drives me crazy though. It makes me not like iOS 10 that much because I never had that issue on iOS 9.

Default Problem with Touch Recognition in Notifications in Notification Center

I've been having this issue for awhile (not using a beta) mostly approving an app request from one of my kids. Sometimes it works for one but not the other. Sometimes it will work for days then just stop. I can't find anything consistent either but it's making me a little nuts.

Oh wow, really? I never noticed it until I got on the betas. I'm going to upgrade no matter what when the 7 comes out, but I'm hopeful that this isn't a hardware issue. It's incredibly annoying.

Still having this issue on the latest beta that I updated to yesterday. Sometimes it recognizes the touch right away. Other times it's a few tries and other times it's a bajillion. Sometimes it only registers with a 3D Touch and then a regular press.

Yes. I'm having the same issue as well. I only started noticing this since the last two betas or so

At least I know I'm not crazy now! This has been an incredibly annoying issue.

I guess I have the same problem, but I have to admit that since I installed the beta (a couple of weeks ago) I just thought that you were *supposed to* 3D press on the notifications to activate them, which is what I always do.

Is touching a notification from the lock screen supposed to activate the app?

It's not the lock screen. It's from the notification center when the phone is unlocked. Sometimes it takes over ten presses to get the notification to work.

Sorry, I mis-read the issue. Tapping notifications in the notification center once works 100% of the time for me, at least so far.

I'm on the GM now and still have this issue. Also have an issue every if you try to clear a notification you can't unless you "clear all".

I find it works best on iOS 10 if you long press first to highlight. Then tap it to go to the App. See if that works better.

It does work better but it still doesn't work all the time. Took 4 3D Touches and presses on the notification to get into this notification in Tapatalk.

Wait until next week after 10 is officially released. Then try Reset All Settings. If that doesn't work, you may need to restore your phone as new. Not from a back up. A fresh copy of iOS 10 might cure it. It's a PITA, but might work.

I'm not experiencing any of these problems. Did you do a reset to your iPhone after the install?

What kind of reset? Just a reboot or wipe and fresh install?

Hard Reset, not a reboot or wipe/install. Home key and power (hold both) until you see the silver apple and let go.

Yeah. Done a couple of those. Weird thing is is that is sporadic. This notification worked first try.

So I did a couple more hard resets and now it's working. Been completely fine since last night. Really weird. I had done at least two of those since I started having this issue.

Spoke too soon. It worked for a day and a half. Now it's back.

Well it definitely just lasts after a hard reset for a little while. Kind of disappointed with that. Thought I had it fixed. Hopefully my 7 Plus won't have this issue. I don't really want to reset my phone just to get a new phone in a couple of weeks.

I definitely have been having the same issue on my 6s. For now I'm just making do with the 3D Touch but I hope they fix it in a 10.0.2 update soon.

At least I know I'm not alone. I'm hopeful that it will be fixed in another update or my new 7 Plus won't have the issue. It's annoying, to say the least.

Finally I found someone who's in the same situation!!! I'm having the same problem with my iPhone 6s. Is this a software problem? This is so unconvinient!! I never know if the notification will work or not. I tried the reboot, it works fine for like an hour or so, I tried the restore from a backup, but its the same. I don't know what to do anymore.
