hand written message not working

am i crazy or has the new beta 6 made you unable to create a hand written massage? i put the phone in landscape and it only show prior written messages and the few that came stock as options to send but no way to actually write anymore.

also is there a way to delete old written messages?

never mind i figured what happened...needed to hit the handwriting button on the bottom right corner while in landscape mode. also realized you can long press any prior HW message to delete it.
