So I noticed when my phone is unlocked and I get notifications, they seem to be alert style notifications instead of banners, meaning I have to actually dismiss the notifications before it disappears rather than disappearing on its own. I went to the settings and confirmed it's set to banner style also. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I don't know what else to do outside of turning all notifications off. I did submit feedback to Apple about this.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm glad I'm not alone. I will submit this as well.

I haven't seen this. I have my mail and a few other apps set as banner and they always show and disappear fine.

What doesn't work sometimes is the notification sound. I have a mail notification sound set and sometimes I hear it along with the banner, other times I get the banner but no sound.

In an app, they show as a banner, but don't dismiss until you take action. Has to be a bug. I've only seen it while in an app.

Does it happen all the time? As I read this thread in the iMore app, I got a banner notification for an email. It stayed for a few seconds and then went away on its own, like it should.

I've yet to see this issue.

I kinda miss the main alert rather then the new banner style for certain apps.

No. I still get banners that appear for a few seconds and move up and out.

That's strange. Mine dismiss on their own. The way they always have.

Sometimes I'd like to dismiss it by swiping up and it won't. With messages notifications I will use 3D Touch to open it up and the message is blank.

I've noticed this bug on my iPad Air 2 as well.

Annoying, but being a beta I sort of expect issues.

Are you sure its set as banners and not alerts? In iOS 10 alerts look just like banners but stay on screen until manually dismissed.

It's happened maybe 3 or 4 times, and I've no clue why. Gonna watch it more closely.

I know this isn't the exact problem, but I'm having issues with notifications in my Notification Center not letting me press them. I'll press them 20 times before they work. Anyone else seeing this?

Mine work fine. Try a hard reset?

Nope. Worked for a little while but right back to not working. It's been like this on every beta I've been on.

If you look in Notification settings for an app, now the alert styles are animated and you can see that banners disappear but alerts stay at the top. No more alert popups in the center of the screen- now they appear at the top and wait to be dismissed.

This problem has persisted thru the betas and now the final release. Notifications that are set to "banner" never disappear once they pop up, as if they were "alerts". This is consistent, not intermittent, for me. I have to swipe the banner up to remove it or hit the home button. Anybody come up with a solution? The problem seems to be widespread and Apple's response on Apple support forums is essentially not to acknowledge that the bug exists or to suggest that the user does not know how to properly configure their notifications.

I have a few that do it. But not everything I have set to banner. It seems to do that more while in certain apps as well.
