Hi all, as a former Nokia and Windows Phone enthusiast, it was hard for me to switch, but I've just bought my first iPhone (7 Plus).

Missing some things from Windows, but very happy with my choice so far. I look forward to being part of the community - warmest regards around the world from Germany

Hi there!

Welcome to the Dark Side and congrats on your new iPhone, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it a lot

Oh and we have cookies (unlike the folks over at Windows Central).

I have the iPhone 6s+ and a Lumia 950, what are you missing from Windows?

Welcome! I switched to Android first from Windows Phone and then iOS. Here's some apps you'll need if you came from WP!

Thanks for the tips. Believe it or not, I'm quite happy to use siri. First of all, Cortana isn't available in Germany. Even in Windows it only works in German in Germany unless I changed region which is then stupid for purchasing apps. Word flow is also not available here, so I've switched to SwiftKey. Works for me. Outlook doesn't have full functionality so I'm using built in mail, calendar and contacts.

Is funny how is little things I miss, like the back button at the bottom. Hard to get used to using one at the top or not having one at all depending on the app.

Mostly I'm missing the wide angle lens I had on the lumia 830. The 7 plus has a great camera but I find I have to get further away to get the same composition I was used to. Im sure I will get used to it in time though...

Sorry about that! Anyway, Cortana is useful to have (it can't replace Siri on iPhone) if you want some things to sync from your desktop. Too bad Microsoft doesn't do anything Outside of the US as I feel like everytime the release something, The Articles here get commented on that they aren't avalible :(

I use Word Flow (Only for Arc tbh) and Gboard (It just got 3D touch!)

As for Outlook, I don't use it. I use Airmail because it's like Outlook.com and Gmail had a baby and a mobile app with all their features. You can unsubscibe from emails like you can on Outlook on the web!

As for not having Full Functionality, I recommend Google as a PIM (If you're not afraid of giving data) as everything works and syncs with it :)

Welcome! As said, Microsoft apps are great on iOS, Cortana aside. It's very easy to mostly use Microsoft apps on iOS.

Congrats on your new iPhone 7 plus. Before long you'll wonder how you made it this long without an iPhone. No more force closes and unexpected errors. Lol.
