How do I listen to podcasts on my ipad in the car.

My car is a 2011 Rav4 and does not have the correct "plug", "adaptor" to plug into - sorry my tech language and skills are very limited. The only thing I can plug into is what I call the cigarette lighter.

Without an auxiliary input Are you sure you Don't have one? Maybe in middle console Storage area?
You could probably get an fm transmitter to make it work

My podcasts are greyed out when I go offline. How do I listen to them when not on wifi ?

Welcome to iMore! If you download the actual podcast onto your device, you should be able to listen to them without wifi. The only thing to be aware of is that they take up space, so once you've listened to them, you might want to delete it. I drive a 2008 Subaru, and it doesn't have bluetooth capability. Luckily, I do have an aux port, so I'm able to connect with a with my car's stereo system that way. So if you don't have an aux port, maybe you can have one installed? Anyway good luck! I hope you figure it out.
