They really couldn't afford not to, I'd imagine. All the carriers are currently in a battle. It'd look bad if they sat this one out. Fun times.

Fortunately, I'm grandfathered in to the original unlimited plan. Anyway, I wonder how long it will be before they try to ween people off of their unlimited plan like before.

That's what I asked the rep at Verizon. She laughed and said no.
