Apple's deal for HBO Now secured with help from Eddy Cue and Jimmy Iovine

Apple executives Eddy Cue and Jimmy Iovine both played important parts in bringing HBO Now to Apple devices.

HBO Now, which launched earlier today on the Apple TV, as well as the iPhone and iPad, lets viewers what HBO content without a cable subscription. Iovine, who used to work with HBO CEO Richard Plepler at Warner Music, told Plepler that he though Apple would be a good partner for HBO Now.
