Have an iPhone 5 that won't seem to charge past 1% or boot up at all anymore after the battery was completely depleted? It seems that you aren't alone. According to UK repair company mendmyi, who has seen an influx of iPhone 5's with this particular issue, the problem is a prime example of why you shouldn't use cheap cables to charge your iPhone.

I have used Belkin Cables and they fair well.. Then lately one side works and the other side does not....

Well for me even tho my original iPhone charger still works good for me for about 2 years now but I was surprised that when I used my original ipad charger for about a month it has broke on me. I don't really like having cheap chargers cause I know they break easy
