How is discussing porn hijacking? As Sean said earlier, this is a discussion about porn.

It's a discussion about iMore posting on how to find porn on your iDevice. It's not a discussion about who enjoys porn in general. That is hijacking the thread. You know very well that he didn't mean this was a discussion about porn in general.

Why does someone want to watch other people have sex? IMO, there is something sick about that. I know that people have rights, but that is just wrong. But, to each his own.

Porn is the a multi million dollar enterprise that is watched by millions upon millions of people around the world. Some think it's right, some think its wrong. But money talks and shows that more people approve than not or these porn companies would be bankrupt. A topic like this can be debated forever.. Like religion.

I typically don't even think about pornography as it's not part of my interests. I realize, now, that a lot of iMore's readership must feel differently and that is why it's being discussed. I've learned something. I fully expect parallel threads will be offered at the other Mobile Nations sites and respect James Falconer's courage for allowing discussions on how mobile technology is used to obtain this controversial element, even if I have a disdain for it.

Don't try to put words in my mouth, thank you.

He quoted exactly what you said. How is that putting words in your mouth?

I still find it hard to believe that people, in this day and age, are this uptight. Get a grip already. You don't like or watch porn? Wonderful! Carry on with your life like it doesn't exist. Why find the need to beat this dead horse even further?

Speaking of putting words in people's mouths...I never said that.

Actually, this is a discussion about viewing pornography on an i-device...not about pornography in general...which is why I've been surprised why people have been freaking out so much over the general subject itself, and not the technological function that is the actual core of this article.

Crack berry is blocked at work due to the pornographic nature of the pin sharing forums there.

Looks like iMore will be next.

I'm 100% against this and the rebuttals put forth are at best weak, at worse hysterical, and generally a laughing stock.

This Thread should be labeled NSFW at the very least and probably shouldn't even exist.

I have not gotten any request for thread or post removal either. I think it's been a very civil conversation so far which reflects well on the quality members we have.

I cannot be bothered to report a thread posted by those who run the site.

If it was a normal member I'd have reported it when I noticed a while back. I just didn't bother opening it until now cause I wanted to know what others thought about it.

Will be contacting aim to have my accounts locked. I'm over debating about things online these days.

Whether you're a longtime member or not, always feel free to report a post or a thread that you feel needs to be looked at by the mods, and believe me, we will look at it. :)

What's so funny?

Just your entire post.

The CB pin sharing forums are notorious for being some form of craigslist personals so I'm not sure how that's funny. And by extension, the rest of my post.

I've bought that to their attention numerous times and many people have complained about it.

I'm obviously missing something. Are you finding it funny because he feels the way that he does in regard to the thread topic? If so, how should he feel about it? The same as you? If so, how's that and why is that?

I find it hilarious that he feels this thread should be "labeled" NSFW. Really? Are there nude pics? Porn pics? Videos? Again, if people find it such an atrocity, pretend it doesn't exist, don't post on it, and it'll fall to the bottom of the thread pile....like it was about to until he posted.

Fair enough, however, I do agree that the NSFW tag should have been added, and I stated that it my initial response. At my previous place of employment, the word, "porn" would have been flagged, and although the thread in and of itself does not contain any porn in it, my surfing habits, while at work, would have been watched more closely for a while. I've witnessed it happen to others with my own eyes. Anyway, thanks for replying. I do appreciate it...:)

You say the rebuttals are weak, hysterical and laughable...but you offer no constructive input of your own? The quintessential sucker punch...no real logical argument or stance, only that you don't agree. You sound like so many closed minded, irrelevant people who argue against/for religion or politics, but refrain from sharing their own view because they are incapable of doing so with any legitimacy.

I'll be honest, I actually applaud your being blocked at work so nobody has to read this pointless and soulless drivel. I've always found it pitifully hilarious that a person would need an account to be "locked"...shows your inability to control yourself.

I hear what you're saying, buddy, and I do appreciate other's opinions...yours more than most, but wouldn't you have to actually click on this thread at work for it to be flagged? Seems like an obvious decision not to if that's the result.
