While Apple did a great job with the virtual software keyboard for the iPad, for some people nothing replaces the productivity of pounding on a real, physical, hardware keyboard. Luckily, you can connect a variety of Bluetooth keyboards to achieve just that, and when you do, some traditional shortcuts immediately become available to you in Safari, Mail, and Pages. I have used many physical bluetooth keyboards with the iPad and I have to say that some of them are really good, but nothing beats the software keyboard for me. I am just as accurate and just as fast. And I enjoy the autocorrect and the double tap period. I don't know, I have just gotten used to the software keyboard and I really like it.
