i cant find i message on my mac how to get?

im looking to get text on my mac as my iphone broke. i looked it up and said to hit i message bubble on apps...but i dont have that app. how do i get that?

First of all, your Mac must be running OS X Mountain Lion or later to be able to iMessage people.
