iMessage Block Contacts, how can I do this?

iMessage Block Contact

I'm curious. I know how to block a Contact. But, is there a way to use\have iMessage on, but, block certain Contacts?
With that, they would STILL be able to send me Text messages, or call?

To put it simply. I don't want them to be able to contact me via iMessage (long story why). Weird, I know, but...

They can still message you but you just won't receive it.

It works like "Do Not Disturb".

It works like "Do Not Disturb".

Except the notification and actual message won't be there when you light up your screen. Same goes for if that person tries to call you. They can still get to your voicemail to leave a message.
