iOS Messages backup, is there an app for getting it?

iOS Messages backup

I'd like to backup my SMS/MMS messages to Gmail, or something else, other than iCloud/iTunes. Is there an app for that on iOS?

I don't know offhand but it's probably pretty easy to check via the App store. I did a simple search for backup text messages and found TONS of apps. If you go through the list you might just find one that support gmail either directly OR indirectly. I looked at a few that can export and that might work to export to text or html and then IMPORT in to a gmail doc.
