Question about using imessage on ipad

Someone is sending me harrassing imessages to my iphone. Then senders phone number is all that is displayed with the imessage. I am unable to find owner of the imessage number. When using imessage from an ipad does message display only a phone number or both name and number

I don't believe the name of person sending you messages would appear on the iPad. You can always block the number.

If the name doesn't display then they aren't in your address book. You can block the number like Ed suggested. If the messages are really disturbing report to the police. There are some messed up people in the world. Plus I watch the show stalker way too much. Good luck!
