I currently have it turned Off.. If i turn it on and use iMessage and leave the country and go roaming i having the data off on peoples iPhone would it show Text Message? or still iMessage? Would i get text messages since data would be off due to being expensive.. Or would iMessage be pending until i connect to internet?

You will get text messages if people send them to you. If you send an iMessage it will show up as an iMessage. You need internet to use iMessage.

I hate I message that's just me like to text

Maybe I'm alone here, but I view iMessage as just another form of "texting", and I can use the same iMessage app to text people who have or do not have iPhones.

Ya but it screws up with no Internet. Some times the other person may have send as SMS off or iMessage won't revert to text etc...
