Missing iMessages on phone but not on Mac

Friday I went to text my wife and I came to find that all my messages to her were gone.

I text her hoping that they would all show up, but nope..nothing.

I looked on my mac and all the messages showed up in iMessage.

Anyone know why this would have happened?

Did you happen to delete the conversation on your phone but not delete it on your Mac? I wished once you delete a conversation it would delete it everywhere. But still sweet having iMessage on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air.

I didn't delete it on my phone, that was my confusion. The conversation just disappeared.

What address are you using for iMessage? Is it still activated on both devices?

Still activated on both devices ( using phone # ). Subsequent messages show up on my phone & Mac, just all ones prior to Nov 30th are gone off my phone ( for my wife only ). Really weird.

This same thing just happened to me, too. Only the conversation with one person disappeared from my iphone but it is still on my mac. The only thing I can think of is that he was the last one I was messaging with on my mac. I also had issues a few days ago with messages showing up on my mac but not on my iphone. I can't figure out what happened in either instance.

Once I disabled iMessage, all other people's iMessage will show on my mac only.
