imessage unique problem?

hello all,

just recently made the switch from crackberry to iphone 4s.

there's this issue where my roommate used to have an iphone but recently switched to droid but apparently apple still thinks his number is still an iphone so it takes imessage 5 mins to realize that and send a text instead.

does anyone know of any fix or should i wait for the next update?

Same problem!

I have the same problem except the iPhone was returned and all other iPhones still think the number should go to iMessage! The iPhone was returned now over 2 weeks ago.

What if you try to delete that persons contact completely, an then put them back in as new. Maybe that will help the problem.
